Valley Lumber commenced operations as an independently owned lumber company in 1978 in Basalt, Colorado. Over the subsequent 30+ years Valley Lumber has expanded from its original location. The new stores / lumberyards are in Rifle, Grand Junction and Gypsum, Colorado. Valley Lumber is staffed by professionals in the lumber and building materials with years of experience in the building industry. Each of the four locations has several experienced sales professionals in commercial and residential building.
In addition to a broad spectrum of “standard” products, including dimensional lumber, millwork, hardware and paint products, Valley Lumber has established relationships with hundreds of manufacturers and / or wholesale firms thus providing the customer access to thousands of special orders, many of which can be ordered and received in a few days. In addition to providing building materials, each location provides professional “takeoffs”.
In addition to these services, we have a door shop and cabinet specialist that can assist customers with a wide range of pre-hung interior and exterior doors as well as a full spectrum of cabinetry. A call to anyone on our sales team, at any branch, will give customers access to a door specialist or the kitchen designer.
Valley Lumber employs a full cadre of skilled yardmen and drivers that can promptly and professionally build and deliver loads to the customers job throughout the Valley Lumber distribution area.
